Constructive Rest is a practice of lying down in a supportive position in order to allow your body to release excess tension, and your spine to lengthen. Based in the Alexander Technique, our guided lie-down talks provide an opportunity to practice awareness and establish freedom and ease in movement. Each installment is 15-20 minutes in length, and guided by Alexander Technique teachers Alexandra Kassouf and Kateri Gormley.

If even the idea of falling can make us tense up and lock our joints, what kind of bracing do we do when we're actually falling? What if we could remain available to adjust and regain balance? Innate Direction
Tuesday Jun 21, 2022
Tuesday Jun 21, 2022
We are all born with an innate sense of direction, that is: the head leading us in movement, and the body following. This is due in part to our senses, many of which are located in our head. This week, we explore our natural sense of direction in prone. You can find the accompanying newsletter text on our website.
